144Hz vs 165Hz vs 240Hz panels on a gaming laptop - when does it stop mattering?
Jumped from a 144Hz panel to a 240Hz one recently and honestly struggled to tell the difference outside of competitive shooters. Curious where people think the real-world returns start diminishing - i

Is 512GB NVME enough in 2026 or should I just get 1TB from the start?
Always end up regretting the smaller storage option a year later. With game installs creeping past 100GB each, is 512GB still a reasonable starting point or has that become the new 256GB?

Galaxy Book4 Pro (Core Ultra 5 125H) - good for light editing + dev work?
Considering this over a ThinkPad for the screen quality. 16GB RAM, 512GB NVME. Would mainly use it for VS Code, some Docker containers, and occasional light Lightroom editing. Is the integrated Arc gr

Battery life claims vs reality - what's realistic for a 15.6" laptop with a dedicated GPU?
Seeing batteries ranging from 50Wh to 86Wh on similar-sized gaming laptops. Manufacturers always quote some unrealistic 'up to X hours' number. What do people actually get on battery with a dGPU lapto

Switching from a 2.5kg gaming laptop to something lighter for travel - recommendations?
My current gaming laptop is great at my desk but a pain to carry around campus all day. Thinking about picking up something thin and light as a second device for classes and leaving the gaming laptop

Why do so many budget laptops still ship with only 60Hz screens in 2026?
Phones in this price range have had 90Hz+ for years. Feels like laptop manufacturers are still cutting corners on the panel first. Is it a cost thing or a battery life tradeoff?

PSA: always check NVME vs SATA storage type before buying - huge real-world difference
Almost bought a laptop that looked identical to one I already own, same RAM/CPU/price, except the storage was SATA instead of NVME. Boot times and file transfers are night and day. Worth the 30 second

What RAM amount actually matters in 2026 - 8GB vs 16GB vs 32GB for everyday use
Feels like every budget laptop is still shipping with 8GB. For normal browsing + office work, is that actually a bottleneck now, or is 16GB only needed once you start gaming/editing? Curious what peop

Dell G15 5525 (Ryzen 7 6800H / RTX 3050) keeps dropping under $750 - worth it as an entry gaming laptop?
Seen this one dip under $750 twice this month. 16GB RAM, 512GB NVME, RTX 3050, 120Hz screen. Not the fastest card but at that price it seems like a solid first gaming laptop. Anyone grabbed one?

Acer Aspire 7 A715-76G - is the RTX 2050 worth it over integrated?
Looking at the A715-76G with the i5-12450H + RTX 2050. It's only 8GB RAM out of the box which worries me. Is the 2050 actually usable for 1080p esports titles, or is this basically a work laptop with
