RDNA · 2019
The RX 5700 XT topped AMD's first RDNA desktop lineup in 2019, adding more stream processors (2560) and higher clocks (up to 1755 MHz) on top of the same 256-bit, 448GB/s memory setup as the standard RX 5700. It was a genuinely competitive 1440p card at launch, trading blows with NVIDIA's RTX 2070.
Its 225W TDP means a solid power supply and good case cooling are a must - this is a desktop-only part with no mobile equivalent at this configuration. Expect strong 1440p performance at high settings and capable 1080p performance maxed out, though without ray tracing or DLSS-equivalent upscaling since those arrived with the next generation.
Comfortable 1080p gaming and everyday creative tasks.
8 GB GDDR6 memory.
Push performance beyond base clock.
PCIe 4.0 x16
Mainstream desktop power draw with solid headroom for upgrades.
The AMD RX 5700 XT is a mid-range dedicated GPU with 8GB of GDDR6 memory, suited to mainstream gaming and everyday graphics tasks.
