GCN 5 (Vega) · 2017
The RX Vega 64 was the full-fat version of AMD's 2017 Vega generation, stepping up to 4096 stream processors and a 1546 MHz boost clock on the same GCN 5 architecture and 14nm process as the Vega 56. It shares that card's standout feature: 8GB of HBM2 on a 2048-bit bus delivering 484 GB/s of bandwidth.
295W of board power made it a hot, power-hungry card even when new, and it was AMD's flagship answer to Nvidia's GTX 1080 at the time. These days it's best thought of as a legacy high-end desktop GPU rather than a current buying option - no laptop ever shipped with this one.
Comfortable 1080p gaming and everyday creative tasks.
