Gen6 (Sandy Bridge) · 2011
HD Graphics 3000 is the slightly more capable sibling of HD Graphics 2000 in Intel's 2011 Sandy Bridge generation, doubling the execution unit count to 12 while keeping the same Gen6 architecture, 32nm process and 650-1350 MHz clock range.
Even with the improvement, it remained a basic display and video chip rather than a gaming GPU - adequate for the era's desktop and web tasks but with no meaningful headroom for 3D games by today's standards.
Everyday display output, browsing and office work.
Shares system memory dynamically.
Push performance beyond base clock.
