HD Graphics 5500 is Intel's integrated GPU from the 2015 Broadwell generation, using the Gen8 architecture at 14nm with 24 execution units running 300 to 950 MHz - similar core counts to the Skylake-era HD 520 but on an earlier architecture generation.
Like the rest of Intel's mid-2010s integrated graphics, it was built for everyday productivity, media playback and light casual gaming rather than any serious 3D workload, and it shares system memory instead of having dedicated VRAM.
