Gen7.5 (Haswell) · 2013
Iris Pro 5200 was Intel's flagship integrated graphics option for Haswell (2013), built on Intel's Gen7.5 architecture with 40 execution units and 128MB of on-package eDRAM - a large cache for its time that significantly eased the memory-bandwidth bottleneck integrated graphics usually face.
That eDRAM made it unusually capable for a 2013 integrated chip, good for light-to-moderate gaming and demanding creative workloads that would have choked a standard Intel GPU of the era, and it ended up in a number of premium ultrabooks that skipped a discrete GPU altogether. By today's standards it's a legacy part suited only to very old software.
