Ampere · 2021
The RTX 3080 Ti arrived in 2021 as NVIDIA's answer to the gap between the 3080 and 3090, built on Ampere with 10,240 CUDA cores, 12GB of GDDR6X, and a 384-bit bus pushing 912GB/s of bandwidth. In practice it performs within a few percent of the 3090 in most games, for noticeably less money and far less VRAM overhead.
It pulls up to 350W, so it belongs in a desktop with ample cooling and a capable power supply - there is no mobile version of this specific card. For 4K gaming or demanding 1440p ultra settings it's one of the strongest Ampere options without jumping to the full 3090.
Strong 1440p/4K gaming and demanding creative workloads.
12 GB GDDR6X memory.
Push performance beyond base clock.
PCIe 4.0 x16
Power-hungry flagship desktop card - plan cooling and PSU headroom.
