Ampere · 2022
The RTX 3090 Ti, released in 2022, is the fullest expression of NVIDIA's Ampere architecture: 10,752 CUDA cores, 24GB of GDDR6X, and a 384-bit bus reaching 1,008GB/s of bandwidth - a modest clock-speed bump over the original 3090 rather than a different chip. It was NVIDIA's last word on Ampere before Ada Lovelace took over.
At a 450W TDP it needs a high-wattage power supply and serious case airflow, and it exists purely as a desktop card. Gaming performance over the regular 3090 is a small step, so its real audience is the same 24GB-hungry creative and compute workloads the 3090 served, just slightly faster.
Strong 1440p/4K gaming and demanding creative workloads.
24 GB GDDR6X memory.
Push performance beyond base clock.
PCIe 4.0 x16
Power-hungry flagship desktop card - plan cooling and PSU headroom.
The NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti is a high-end dedicated GPU with 24GB of GDDR6X memory, suited to demanding gaming and content creation workloads.
