AMD Athlon 3000 Series · Zen+
This is a desktop chip, not a laptop one — an AM4 part built for cheap pre-built office PCs that don't need a graphics card. It shares its silicon with the mobile Athlon Gold line but runs at a much higher 35W, which lets it hold a 3.5GHz base clock that no mobile Picasso chip gets close to.
Two cores and four threads is thin for a desktop in most other contexts, but for the kind of machine this ships in — spreadsheets, a browser, maybe light photo editing — the higher clocks make it noticeably snappier than its U-series siblings.
Up to 3.9 GHz boost clock.
Supported memory generations. Soldered (LPDDR) or upgradeable depends on the laptop.
