AMD Ryzen 7000 Series · Zen 4 (Phoenix)
A genuine Zen 4 chip built on AMD's "Phoenix" platform, the 7640U brings six cores, twelve threads, and a 4.9GHz boost clock to a 15W power envelope — a meaningful jump over the Zen 3 U-series parts it replaces.
Phoenix pairs the new cores with RDNA 3 integrated graphics, a real step up for anything graphics-adjacent like video editing previews or light gaming, while still targeting the battery life ultrabook buyers expect from a 15W chip.
Up to 4.9 GHz boost clock.
Supported memory generations. Soldered (LPDDR) or upgradeable depends on the laptop.
