AMD Ryzen 5000 Series · Zen 3 (Barcelo)
A later refresh built on Barcelo silicon rather than the original Cezanne die, the 5825U keeps the eight-core layout and 15W envelope of the 5800U with only minor changes underneath.
Clock speeds land in the same 2.0–4.4GHz range as its predecessor, and the 7nm process is a step back from the 6nm parts AMD introduced elsewhere — in practice the two chips perform almost identically, with the 5825U mostly filling out OEM channel availability.
Up to 4.5 GHz boost clock.
Supported memory generations. Soldered (LPDDR) or upgradeable depends on the laptop.
