Intel Core 3rd Generation · Ivy Bridge
An Ivy Bridge U-series chip built on a 22nm process, the 3317U brought Sandy Bridge's core design to a much lower 17W envelope — an early example of Intel prioritizing thin, fanless-adjacent designs.
Two cores and four threads at 1.7–2.6GHz made it noticeably less powerful than its M-series siblings, but that tradeoff enabled a new class of ultrabook.
Up to 2.6 GHz boost clock.
Supported memory generations. Soldered (LPDDR) or upgradeable depends on the laptop.
